Links There's such wealth of information available, it's really very hard to come up with a comprehensive list. However, people try, and there loads of great websites that direct you in whichever way you want to go. I've put down a few web pages that I have either found inspiring, interesting or just useful. The list really is not complete at all! We all find more good sites now and again, so I'll update the list as and when I do. Of particular interest are the responses from the UK Rivers Guidebook community (1st post from June 2007 here, and 2nd post from January 2008 here - more recent one is probably more interesting as it's a more developed idea). It sheds some light on the arguments that arise. There are a lot of parallels with the arguments that occur on environmental forums such as www.theenvironmentsite.org which is the best quality forum on the topic that I have found.
